2025 masterclass

Advancing sustainable finance for nature in Asia

March 28, 2025

Blueprint, Dorset House, Tai Koo Place

Synopsis

Over half of Asia Pacific’s economy is vulnerable to nature-related risks. Industries across agriculture, fisheries, manufacturing, mining and energy all depend on nature with many more subsequently affected down the value chain.

Hong Kong, bolstered by the Greater China region, is uniquely positioned to play a pivotal role in managing natural capital as a sustainable and green finance hub. Understanding and managing nature-related risks and opportunities is a key step towards diverting capital flow towards protection, conservation and restoration projects.

Eco-Business, Asia Pacific’s leading media and intelligence organization dedicated to sustainable development and ESG performance, is pleased to be organising a half-day masterclass. Participants of this programme will not only benefit from this industry-first guidance, they will also hear from industry stakeholders in Asia who have committed to addressing critical nature-related risks and opportunities.

What participants will learn from this masterclass:

▪️ Nature and biodiversity trends gaining traction in Hong Kong and the region from a media perspective;

▪️ Biodiversity developments in Asia from the policy and disclosure front, including the significance of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity framework;

▪️ Managing nature-related risks and opportunities with the Taskforce for Nature-related Financial Disclosures framework;

▪️ Investing in the transformative potential of nature-based solutions, applying nature case studies including existing best practice in nature-related finance, policies, strategy and client engagement
