At 23 years of age, Barney Swan brought together The South Pole Energy Challenge – the first expedition to be powered by renewable energy. After skiing more than 1000km in 57 days, he reached the South Pole in January 2018. This 2-month journey was also the first net positive expedition of its kind- with all 350 tonnes of C02 associated with the feat being cleaned up via tree planting, ClimeWorks air filtration technology, and Algae farms.

Barney now leads a 7-year campaign to clean up 326 million tonnes of C02 before the year 2025. The campaign, ClimateForce, will be a part of reducing that C02 through scaled per/tonne solutions, effective policy, and a virtual reality educational program.
