Mr Arnold Lau is the Associate Director-General of Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK), the government department responsible for attracting and facilitating foreign direct investment into Hong Kong since October 2024.

Mr Lau oversees the business operations of the department’s offices in Mainland China, as well as Mainland and GBA Business Development; Financial Services, FinTech & Sustainability; Startups; Tourism & Hospitality; Creative Industries; and Consumer Products sectors in the head office. The sector specialists and geographic teams under his purview offer a one-stop service to help enterprises from around the world leverage the business and investment opportunities in and via Hong Kong, and help clients establish or expand their presence in the city.

Prior to joining InvestHK, Mr Lau had worked in both the public and private sectors and held various senior positions at Fortune Global 500 company, multinational and Chinese enterprises, large technology research institute, and management consulting firms with experience in a wide range of industry sectors.

Mr Lau holds Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Management Information System degrees from Boston University and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
